These pages offer information and advice on topics that aim to be of use to community groups and to individuals trying to make positive changes for the environment of Wiltshire and Swindon or to reduce our carbon footprint. If an item is no longer current news, it is not automatically discarded. It may be lurking somewhere else on the website because the information could still be useful. So if you can't find something that used to be there, please check the other sections in case it has simply been moved.
There is lots of space to add information about events and projects, so please send news, including pictures if possible, to Sarah Cosentino for addition. Please also send information about coming events to our new Google calendar. The calendar has two sections, local events and national and international events so that you can link up with the wider community and make your efforts more effective.
Check out events and groups with similar aims near you and use the calendar, as well as the news items and articles, as inspiration for your own activities. There are so many great ideas locally we don't need to be constantly reinventing the wheel.
Many of us are trying to reduce our waste, garden with consideration for wildlife, minimise our energy use, walk or cycle instead of always using the car and so on. When we have done all the things we can think of or have reached the extent of our budget the next step is to co-operate with others. If you have been doing what you can by yourself, why not join forces with one of the groups in the 'Wiltshire Groups' section and if you know of groups not included please let us know.
Above all we want to celebrate the work done by so many volunteers locally and support their work.
